Data Products
What is a data product?
A data product is a unit of data with a clear owner, defined quality expectations (SLA), and known consumers (business capabilities).
Structure
Each data product has:
- Name — what it's called
- Owner — Product Owner (2nd line)
- Steward — Information Steward (1st line)
- Domain — Business capability it belongs to
- SLA — Freshness, availability, quality thresholds
- Source systems — Where the data originates
- Consumers — Which capabilities depend on it
